The Administration Department serves as the operational backbone of Nyeri County Referral Hospital, ensuring seamless coordination across all services. We uphold the hospital's mission to deliver timely, equitable, and quality healthcare through efficient management, compliance, and strategic oversight.
Key Functions

Financial Management
- Annual budgeting, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
- Oversight of Facility Improvement Fund (FIF) utilization.

Procurement & Asset Management
- Procurement of medical supplies and technologies.
- Maintenance of asset registers and disposal of idle resources.

Facility & Infrastructure
- Capital project implementation.
- Maintenance of buildings, equipment, and utilities (water, power, ICT).
- Environmental safety and sanitation.

Human Resources
- Staff deployment, training, and performance management.
- Leave administration and disciplinary oversight.

Policy & Compliance
- Implementation of healthcare regulations and institutional policies.

Office & Logistics
- Office space allocation, document custody, and correspondence.
- Transport coordination (ambulance services, fuel, and driver deployment).

Stakeholder Engagement
- Partnership development and resource mobilization.
- Collaboration with government agencies and donors.

Welfare & Support
- Staff and patient welfare (housing, security, hospitality).
- Complaint resolution and feedback management.
Leadership
Led by the Deputy Chief Health Administrative Officer, the department works closely with clinical and support teams to ensure integrated, efficient, and patient-centered service delivery.
